Musical Journey

I was given my first piano lesson at the age of seven by my mother who was a piano teacher herself. Two years later, I became a chorister at St Paul’s Cathedral, London. At the age of fourteen I began learning the organ and by the time I left school I had passed my first diploma.

I moved to Northampton after obtaining a degree in music at Jesus College Cambridge, where I was Organ Scholar. I currently work as a freelance teacher, pianist and organist in South Northamptonshire.

Beyond Music

I’m a keen railway enthusiast and enjoy exploring both heritage lines and modern rail networks across the UK. This interest combines my appreciation for engineering, history, and Britain’s transport heritage.

When I’m not teaching or at the piano, you’ll often find me walking with my black Labrador, Toby, through the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. These walks provide a perfect balance to my musical life and help maintain both physical and mental wellbeing. I also enjoy taking on DIY projects around the home, finding that working with my hands offers a different kind of creative satisfaction from making music.
